ISL 2016: FC Pune City 4-3 Delhi Dynamos - Player ratings
Friday's Indian Super League match between Delhi Dynamos and FC Pune City was arguably the most entertaining game in the history of the whole tournament. A total of seven goals were scored between them on the night. In the end, Pune were able to come out victorious with a 4-3 win over the league table toppers.
Kean Lewis, Florent Malouda and Malsawmzuala scored for Gianluca Zambrotta-managed Delhi. However, goals from Anibal Zurdo, Mohammed Sissoko and Lenny Rodrigues won the game for the Stallions.
Here are the player ratings for the game.
Edel Bete - 8/10
Even though the former Chennaiyin FC goalkeeper conceded three goals, he was very important for Pune on the night. There was nothing much Bete could have done to stop the goals scored by Delhi. The 30-year old player made a number of good saves and also was claimed the high balls well.
Dharmaraj Ravanan - 4.5/10
The Indian full-back had a very tough time against Delhi's Kean Lewis. Ravanan was not able to deal with his opponent's pace and technique. The 29-year old was also booked for a rash tackle on the Delhi attacker. However, the player made a few interceptions.
Eduardo Ferreira - 8/10
The Brazilian player was solid at the back for Pune. There was nothing much he could do about the goals his team conceded. Eduardo made quite a good number interceptions, tackles and blocks. The centre-back also dominated in the air. The 33-year old caused some problems for the Delhi defenders during corners in the first half.
Gouramangi Singh - 6.5/10
The Indian defender was also good at the back for the team managed by Antonio Habas. The 30-year old made some key interceptions and was good in the air. Gouramangi had some tough times against the Delhi attackers.
Narayan Das - 5/10
The Pune full-back was silent throughout the game. His only involvement in the match came in the early minutes of the second half. Das had a really tough time against top-scorer of the league Marcelinho.
Mohammed Sissoko - 6/10
The former Liverpool man missed a chance to give his team the lead in the first half after he missed his penalty. However, the Pune marquee player made up for his miss by giving his team the lead in the second half. He was the first one to reach to a ball which ricocheted off players in the box after a Jonatan Lucca free-kick, to slot it home. There were not many contributions from Sissoko other than the goal.
Jonatan Lucca - 7.5/10
Jonatan Lucca was very silent and poor in the first half. His set-pieces and passes were not up to the standard. However, the midfielder turned things around in the second half. The former FC Goa player claimed the assists for Anibal Zurdo's first goal and Lenny Rodrigues' goal.
Eugeneson Lyngdoh - 4/10
The Indian midfielder was almost invisible throughout the game. Lyngdoh did not have any particular contribution or involvement on the night. Much more is expected from a player of his calibre. The player was rightly substituted in the 73rd minute of the match and was replaced by Lenny Rodrigues.
Arata Izumi - 4.5/10
Arata Izumi had a similar game to Lyngdoh. However, the midfielder had a role to play in his team's fourth goal. The 34-year old drew two defenders away with him and passed the ball to Lucca, who assisted Lenny Rodrigues in the dying minutes of the game.
Momar Ndoye - 7/10
Ndoye was the main threat the Delhi defenders faced from Pune in the first half. The 24-year old was too difficult to handle for opposition right-back Lalchhawnkima. However, the Indian full-back dealt with him in the second half. The attacker sustained an injury and was replaced by Gustavo Oberman in the 84th minute of the game.
Anibal Zurdo - 8.5/10
Anibal Zurdo was awarded the Hero of the Match award for his two goals of the night. The 33-year old was also the one who won the penalty for his side in the first half. The Mexican took both his goals very well. His passes were on and off throughout the night. He was replaced by Sanju Pradhan in the 89th minute.
Substitutes
Lenny Rodrigues - 7/10
Rodrigues came in for a very poor Lyngdoh in the 73rd minute of the game. There was not much contribution from him apart from the goal he scored. The Indian player's goal in the stoppage time of second half was the winner for his team.
Gustavo Oberman - 5/10
The Argentine came in for Ndoye in the 84th minute and there was nothing much he could do for his team.
Sanju Pradhan - N/A
Sanju came in too late to make any impact.
