ISL 2016: Kerala Blasters 0-0 Delhi Dynamos - Player ratings

The Blasters were held to a disappointing goalless draw in front of their home fans

Kerala Blasters failed to find the back of the net yet again but finally picked up a point in the third season of the Indian Super League. Michael Chopra might disagree, but his header into the back of the net was ruled out for offside and it was clearly visible that even the fans are beyond frustrated with the players now.

The Yellow Army looked to have finally gelled and the start was very promising but it was the same old story once Delhi Dynamos found their feet in the game. Kean Lewis was the only player on the pitch who had any sort of  intent to provide entertainment to the thousands of fans in the stadium.

On that note, take a look at the player ratings for both sides:

Kerala Blasters

Michael Chopra, Kerala Blasters
Michael Chopra was one of Kerala’s better players on the night

Sandip Nandy - 6/10

He had basically nothing much to do the entire game. Apart from catching the ball a couple of times, it was a quiet evening for the keeper. His goal kicks landed outside most of the time in the first half - blame the pitch? I don't know.

Pratik Chaudhari - 6.5/10

He was being outplayed by Kean Lewis first up but after the Delhi Dynamos winger changed wings, Pratik made sure that he made the most of the opportunity. Pratik ensured that he remained solid while making some good runs down the line.

Sandesh Jhingan - 7.5/10
Best Kerala Blasters player of the match? Maybe. He was rock solid as usual and was able to keep the Delhi Dynamos strikers on their toes all the time.

Cedric Hengbart - 7.5/10
The captain did lead from the front in this match. He got injured in the 18th minute but made sure he stayed on the pitch as much as possible and only came off in the 2nd half.

Josu Currais - 7/10
Yet another performance by the Spaniard that caught the eye of all the fans. He was able to keep Kean Lewis silent, unlike Pratik. He also put in a couple of good crosses, which could have been converted easily.

Mehtab Hossain - 6/10
'Nowhere to be found' would be harsh but he was more into making space for his teammates and making interceptions when Delhi had the ball.

Mohammed Rafique - 6.5/10
Good, but just not good enough. Rafique could have done a lot better with the ball at his feet. He often lost possession at crucial points which resulted in the breakdown of attacks.

Michael Chopra - 7/10
Kerala's best forward player on the night. Chopra had that one brilliant opportunity to score but was denied by some good goalkeeping. The dive in the second half was unnecessary and should have been avoided.

Antonio German - 5/10
German was probably the main reason why Kerala Blasters could not convert all the good moves in the final third. He tried to do a lot himself when he could have slipped the ball through to a teammate who was in a better position.

Duckens Nazon - 6.5/10
Nazon did a good job in assisting Michael Chopra up front but just could not get that final shot away on time.

Azrack Mahamat - 7/10
He was everywhere. Comparing him to N'Golo Kante would be too much but he gave Kerala Blasters a much-needed boost in the midfield.

Substitutes

Elhadji Ndoye - 6/10
The midfielder played as centre-back today after Hengbart got injured and did a fine job in keeping the Delhi Dynamos at bay along with Jhingan.

Kervens Belfort - 5/10
Belfort came on in the 75th minute and made more errors than key passes. He could have scored the winner late in the game but did not manage to keep hold of the ball.
