ISL 2016: Twitter explodes after controversial ending to Kerala Blasters vs FC Goa

Gregory being the shown the red card for his deliberate handball

Kerala Blasters came back from behind to record a controversial yet nerve-wracking win over FC Goa with CK Vineeth toe-poking the winner into the back of the net in the 99th minute to send the crowd into delirium.

Rafael Coelho opened the scoring for FC Goa in the 9th minute of the game before K. Belfort equalized at the start of the second half, making it 1-1 in the 48th minute from the spot after Gregory Arnolin was sent off for a deliberate handball and the Blasters were awarded a penalty. Brazilian footballing legend and manager of FC Goa – Zico – watched from the sidelines as his team were shown two red cards with Richarlyson the second one to be given his marching orders for a silly foul on Vineeth.

However, the real controversy happened after Vineeth scored the winner in the 99th minute as FC Goa players lost and hounded the referee for his controversial decision making. The security staff had to rush to the field to protect the referee while Zico was seen applauding everything, sarcastically.

Following the match, Zico went on a rant against the ISL and the refereeing at his press conference before storming out of the press conference. Although the Brazilian is now liable for punishment from the disciplinary body of the ISL. Here is the transcript of the post-match rant of Zico.
