ISL 2017/18: CK Vineeth dedicates Kerala Blasters' win to fan demanding justice against police brutality
What's the story?
Kerala Blasters stars CK Vineeth took to Facebook in a bid to extend his support to 34-year-old Keralite Sreejith, who has been protesting outside the Secretariat for more than two years now, demanding an enquiry on the Police, who he believes, is responsible for his brother Sreejev's death in 2014.
In case you didn't know...
CK Vineeth, who represents the Kerala Blasters in the ISL is one of the most recognised Indian talents in the league. The 29-year-old Keralite grabbed the spotlight with his impressive performances for Bengaluru FC in the I-League that saw him earn a contract with his home team in the ISL for the 2015 season.
The heart of the Matter
C.K Vineeth's support for his fellow statesman comes at a time when social media has amplified the issue, urging supporters and Keralites to arrange for strikes and throng to the streets in support of the stricken man.
Vineeth posted a picture along with Blasters' team-mate Rino Anto in which both the Blasters' mainstays are seen posing with their arms crossed against one another, expressing their solidarity with Sreejith.
"We’ve seen you striving for justice, all alone. And like all of Kerala, we’re joining you in this fight. Together, we’ll fight until justice is delivered. This win is for you," Vineeth's picture received a rush of accolades as soon as the post went up on the media giant.
What's Next?
Vineeth, who has not had a great season with only two goals thus far, will play a key role when the Blasters face off against Jamshedpur FC on 17th January following which they will return home to host FC Goa on 21st.

It is heartwarming to see CK Vineeth's gesture to support his fellow statesman, which only goes on to show that he has the time to support and lend a hand to social causes apart from his stellar football career.
