John Gregory's only objective is to win the game

Come this Friday, Kerala Blasters will take high-flying Chennaiyin FC in the much awaited Southern derby in the ISL at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Kochi. With Kerala Blasters fighting hard to get a spot in the top-four, this clash is going to be a "Do-or-Die" for David James' side.

Talking in the pre-match conference, Chennaiyin head coach, John Gregory was in full praise for David James, for the tremendous work he did, saying

"Kerala were struggling when we played them last time. Consequently, they've done well under David James. He's made a few changes and instilled a positive attitude into his squad. And they've given themselves a chance of qualifying for the playoffs."

However, John Gregory said that they (Chennaiyin FC) were unfazed by Kerala's position in the table, and the situation they (Kerala) face to qualify.

He also added,

"We know they will come at us. We just need to be the same as we've been and focus on our game. As always, we will be going into this game with a win as our only objective."

The coach also talked about their chances of qualifying and said

"We're in some really good form, I must say. We know what is at stake. We maybe need one win to seal the playoff spot. The beauty of it is that our fate is still in our hands."

Despite the result being a draw in their last outing against Jamshedpur FC, John Gregory was happy with the team's performance, and he even said

"That being said, I am very happy with our form at the moment. And I'm very happy with where we are."

With both going into tomorrow's game with an aim to win, it will be a mouthwatering clash, David James' Blasters taking John Gregory's Chennaiyin, battling for the semi-final spot, and of course for the pride.
