Halicharan Narzary began his career in Indian football with the AIFF's Pailan Arrows in the I-League 2010-11 season and played for three seasons before moving on to Goan side, Dempo SC. He has played for India U-19, U-23, and the Indian senior side and, made his first ISL appearance for FC Goa in the first edition of the league.
The heart of the matter
Kerala Blasters FC has signed Halicharan Narzary from NorthEast United FC for the next season, leaving the Highlanders after spending the last three seasons with them.
The 23-year old Assam-born winger played thirteen matches this season for NorthEast United FC but did not score a goal and had a poor season as the club finished at the bottom of the Indian Super League standings.
Halicharan Narzary has featured in the I-League for the Pailan Arrows, Dempo SC, and DSK Shivajians, playing on loan at FC Goa and, NorthEast United in the initial years of the ISL. He was called up for the national side under Stephen Constantine and, made his debut for the Blue Tigers in March 2015. Narzary came on as a late substitute in India's 2-0 win over Nepal in Guwahati.
Narzary has made 17 appearances for the senior team and has one goal to his credit. In his four seasons in ISL, he has not managed to score but has provided four assists so far.
What's next?
Halicharan Narzary will turn out for NorthEast United FC in the Super Cup Qualifiers as they take on Gokulam Kerala FC on March 15 in Bhubaneshwar.

Kerala Blasters have signed Halicharan Narzary as an able replacement for Jackichand Singh, who moved on to FC Goa on a lucrative two-year deal. Narzary poses a threat on the wing with his pace and will hope to get his scoring boots under Kerala boss David James.
