ISL 2017/18, Match 60: ATK vs Jamshedpur FC, Player Ratings
Match 60 of the Hero Indian Super League saw defending champions ATK host league newcomers Jamshedpur FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, India.
The two sides began the match in the bottom half of the Hero ISL standings. The home side, ATK, were on the eight spot with 12 points from their eleven matches. Jamshedpur FC was just one spot above the hosts in seventh with 16 points from their twelve matches.
ATK played with the only four foreign players available for them and all of them started the match.
Jamshedpur FC produced a disciplined performance as they won owing to a penalty scored by Trindade Goncalves in the 66th minute. The defence did well to hold on for the win as the Miners rise to fifth in the table and on equal points with FC Goa.

Debjit Majumder (6/10) - The ATK keeper was kept busy between the sticks as Jamshedpur FC stepped up the pressure on the home side and made a good reflex save at the end of the first half to keep a powerful effort out. Debjit was beaten by the penalty from Trindade but made a good save later on from Belfort to keep the side alive in the match.
Ashutosh Mehta (6/10) - The former Mumbai City FC man was kept on his toes throughout the night as Bikash Jairu and Trindade Goncalves attacked from his flank.
Conor Thomas (6.5/10) - Conor Thomas played another game as a centre-back and did well against the pressure from the Jamshedpur side, making good tackles and keeping Izu Azuka in check.
Jordi Figueras (6.5/10) - The Spaniard was the mainstay in the ATK defence as he kept his man organized to defend against the Jamshedpur team who were attacking with intent in the first half. He was strong in his challenges and won a lot of aerial duels inside the box for the home side.
Keegan Pereira (5.5/10) - The left-back was up against the dual threat of the dynamic Jerry and Souvik Chakrabarty who were barraging the flank with runs and crosses. He did not make many attacking moves as the defensive duties kept him busy for the most part of the match.
Hitesh Sharma (5.5/10) - The former Mumbai FC man put in an industrious shift as he was highly active in the midfield and defence for the home side. He conceded the penalty in the second half when he brought down Trindade in the box with a clumsy challenge.
David Cotterill (7.5/10) - The Welshman played just ahead of the defence and was great with his ball distribution from the back. He kept the ball moving for the home side with good diagonal balls to the wingers and around the midfield.
Rupert Nongrum (6.5/10) - The youngster was deployed on the right flank by Ashley Westwood tonight and played well in tandem with Sharma and Cotterill. He kept making runs on the flank and put some good crosses for Paterson and Singh in the box.
Jayesh Rane (6.5/10) - The former Chennaiyin FC kept the Jamshedpur wingers on their toes with his incisive runs and movement on the flank, and even helped out his side in defence with good back-tracking. He made some overlapping runs behind the defence and had a couple of efforts on goal but with no success.
Robin Singh (6/10) - The former Indian international was the target man in the box from setpieces for ATK as he had a great chance to put them ahead but failed to bury it. He kept pressing the Jamshedpur defence with his physical presence in the box and had a couple more chances to score.
Martin Paterson (7.5/10) - The Irishman was perhaps the most active player for ATK with his constant movement in the attack. He had a great chance at the goal when he latched onto a cross from the right but his effort was saved by Subrata Paul.
Substitutes:
Bipin Singh (4.5/10) - Singh came on in the final twenty minutes when he replaced Hitesh Sharma in the midfield. He managed to create one chance for Paterson when he crossed in after cutting inside from the left flank.
Ronald Singh (4/10) - Ronald replaced Rupert Nongrum as ATK introduced fresh legs as ATK went all out for the equalizer in the match.
Komal Thatal (4/10) - The India U-17 FIFA World Cup made his debut in the Indian Super League when he came on for the final two minutes of the match replacing Jayesh Rane. Thatal became the youngest player ever to play in the ISL.
