ISL 2017/18, Match 90: ATK vs NorthEast United FC, Player Ratings

The final league match of the ISL season saw defending champions ATK take on NorthEast United FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

The two sides have had a season to forget as they languish at the bottom of the standings with ATK on the ninth spot with just 13 points from their seventeen matches. NorthEast United FC is in the bottom spot on the table with 11 points from as many games.

ATK emerged on the winning side in a hard-fought encounter after a great strike from Robbie Keane in the first half. NorthEast United attacked with intent in the second half but were unable to make it past Soram Poirei who was superb between the sticks.

Soram Poirei (8/10) - The Manipuri keeper had a quiet first half for the most part and produced a great save when Mosquera had a clear chance on the goal. He had a confident showing in the second half as he produced good saves as NorthEast United turned the screws.

Keegan Perreira (5.5/10) - The ATK left-back had a busy night on the flank as he made runs up and down doing well on both the attacking and defending front.

Jordi Montel (5.5/10) - The Spanish center-back organised the ATK defence at the back as they had to deal with the dual threat of Sema and Mosquera. He did well to win a lot of duels and made good interceptions.

Anwar Ali (5.5/10) - The veteran Indian defender was a competent partner to Montel in the ATK backline as he was tough in his tackles and provided a tough fight for Mosquera.

Ashutosh Mehta (5.5/10) - The former Aizawl FC man played as the right-back for the home side and was up against the dynamic Narzary on his flank. He did well to curb the threat and even went to support his side in attack when they countered.

Conor Thomas (7/10) - The midfielder played a deep role in the centre and provided a great assist for Robbie Keane's goal early in the match. He did well to build the plays from the back as he looked for runs of the attackers ahead of him.

Shankar Sampingraj (5.5/10) - The defensive midfielder played a little behind Thomas and was the first line of defensive cover for the home side. He made a lot of tackles and interceptions breaking up NorthEast United plays from developing.

Zequinha (6/10) - The Portuguese winger was a threat in the ATK attack with his runs on the left flank as he combined well with the midfielders alongside him.

Sibongakonke Mbatha (6/10) - The diminutive South African youngster was a spark in the ATK attack as he troubled the NorthEast backline with his pace and movement.

Jayesh Rane (5.5/10) - The Mumbai-born midfielder played behind the attackers and was good with his passing and combinations with Zequinha, as ATK attacked the NorthEast United goal. He helped the side out in defence as well tracking back on the flank as the away side increased the pressure.

Robbie Keane (8/10) - The player-caretaker manager for ATK started on a bright note as he scored early in the match with a superb finish from Thomas' ball. He led the side well from the front as he made life difficult for the NorthEast United defence.

Substitutes:

Hitesh Sharma (4.5/10) - The Tata Football Academy graduated made an appearance off the bench to replace Sampingraj as ATK introduced fresh legs in the midfield.

Robin Singh (4/10) - Former India international came on to replace Zequinha for the final ten minutes to provide some height in the attack for the home side.

Rupert Nongrum (3/10) - The midfielder came on to replace Mbatha on the 88th minute as ATK made the final change in the match.
