Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC have started rolling out their plans for the next season of the league after this season's disappointing campaign with five potential signings in the pipeline already.

Mumbai City FC finished at the top of the league in the previous season of the ISL but failed to make the playoffs this season and finished on the seventh spot in the standings, missing the direct qualification slot for the Super Cup as well.

The Islanders have been quick to move in the transfer market and snap up players to build a formidable squad for the next season. Milan Singh, the Manipuri midfielder playing for Kerala Blasters has been signed by the Mumbai City FC management. He had a good season with Delhi Dynamos last year when they made it to the final four and has had a decent showing for the Kerala Blasters this season as well.

Jamshedpur FC's Souvik Chakrabarti is also expected to sign soon for the Mumbaikars. Souvik is an industrious player who has been a vital cog in the debutante franchise starting all the matches. He is a versatile player with the ability to play as a central midfielder as well as the right-back, where has been used this season by Steve Coppell. The former Mohun Bagan midfielder will certainly be a good addition to the Mumbai City FC team.

Lalhmangaihsanga Ralte, popularly know as Sena Ralte is the other name on the radar of the Mumbai City FC as they aim to sign back their former left-back. He has had an injury prone season at Delhi Dynamos featuring in only six games for the Lions.

ATK winger Bipin Singh is the fourth name that is close to signing for the Mumbai side as they aim to add young blood to their midfield. The 22-year old former Shillong Lajong man impressed in the ATK midfield this season scoring a spectacular goal early in the season. He has good pace and is a good option to take free-kicks as well.

The fifth and final player close to signing for the Islanders is Bengaluru FC's Subhashish Bose. The left-back has impressed one and all with his performances in the Bengaluru backline and has played 16 matches this season. The youngster has previously played for Sporting Club de Goa and Mohun Bagan before signing for the Blues.

Sportskeeda can confirm that these players will be signed from June 1, 2018, and will currently carry on in their respective teams as they are for the upcoming Super Cup.

Mumbai City FC's early transfer dealings indicate their desire to quickly get over the disappointing season and build for the future with the signing of these young players.
