ISL 2017: 5 former ATK Star players who are playing for other ISL teams this season
ATK are one of those teams who have had a near-perfect start to their ISL journey, by wining two of the three editions. Based out of the Mecca of Indian football,Kolkata, the stakes were always high for Kolkata to perform well. They were also the first Indian team whose shares were owned by a high profile European club, even though the deal with Atletico Madrid fell off this year.
They have undergone whole-sale changes in the dynamics of the team, along with their name. This year is something like a complete new beginning for the Kolkata-based franchise.
With ATK opting for English flavour this season and parting ways with their tired and tested Spanish style, we also have a bunch of new faces in the Kolkata set up.
In this article, we take a look at some ex-ATK players, who are now with different ISL teams.
Iain Hume
The Canadian, who has lit the ISL on fire, is one of ATK’s best performers. Having played for them for two seasons and helping them win the title once, Hume was one of the most important players to feature for ATK.
With around 30 appearances and 18 goals for ATK, Iain Hume is clearly the best striker till date to play for the Kolkata-based club, statistically speaking. This season though, Hume will playing for Kerala, the team that bought him to India.
