What's the Story

Ahead of their ISL 2017 match against the Blues, Delhi Dynamos director Rohan Sharma took a swipe at the Bengaluru FC. He had criticised the Albert Roca-led side and their fans for celebrating their 2014 and 2016 I-League titles.

He tweeted:

However, it all backfired after the match, where the Blues ran riot, defeating Delhi Dynamos 4-1 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, on Sunday.

In Case You Didn't Know

Although Bengaluru FC had more recovery time ahead of their match that cannot be used as an excuse, as every team has to go through periods where they have to play a cluster of games in a short span of time.

The Heart of the Matter

The Dynamos were forced to eat humble pie in their ISL match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday evening, as Bengaluru FC romped home to a comfortable victory.

While Erik Paartalu scored a brace for Bengaluru, Lenny Rodrigues and Miku scored the other two. Kalu Uche was the only form of solace for the visitors. However, that was nowhere near to getting the Delhi outfit back on track for this match, as the Blues ran away with a massive victory. This victory also helped put them firmly on the top of the table, with a three-point advantage over the rest of their opponents.

After the match, however, Bengaluru FC turned their attention back to social networking site Twitter, to get their revenge on Rohan Sharma.

Here's what they tweeted:

What Next?

Bengaluru's next match is against FC Goa on the 30th of November. Meanwhile, Delhi will face off against NorthEast United FC on the 2nd of December.

Sportskeeda's Take

Delhi Dynamos manager Rohan Sharma may have cut a cocky figure on Twitter but last night's match will certainly take him down a notch or two.
