ISL 2017, Match 14: Delhi Dynamos vs NorthEast United FC, Player Ratings
Delhi Dynamos hosted NorthEast United for the 14th game of ISL 2017. It was a crucial encounter for both teams as they came into this game having faced a defeat in their previous match.
NorthEast were hammered 3-0 by Chennaiyin FC, and Delhi lost 4-1 to Bengaluru FC in Bangalore in their respective previous fixtures. Delhi started the game as the hot favourites, whereas North East had just a draw and a loss, and had failed to score in their first two games.
The game started as a cagey affair and it looked to be a match that will be played mostly in the midfield but NorthEast United shifted gears within the first 15 minutes and scored two goals within 22 minutes. At the end, of the first half, the scoreboard read 2-0 in favour of the Highlanders.

Delhi Dynamos
Albino Gomes (5): Albino probably had the worst 25 minutes of his entire career. He made a huge blunder which gifted Danilo the easiest tap-in.
Pritam Kotal (4.5): Pritam had a horrible first half. He made some huge blunders and his passing was way below par and the likes of Holicharan and Reagan beat him with ease in the first half.
Pratik Chowdhary (6): Pratik looked to have his hands full, keeping the likes of Marcinho and Danilo in check. Even though he kept Danilo under close vigil and went in for the tackle whenever possible, he looked rather ineffective during the game.
Gabriel Cichero (6): Cichero couldn’t use his experience to keep the NorthEast forwards at bay as he looked beaten time and again.
Munmun Lugun (5.5): Lugun was beaten all ends up by Len’s pace. He failed to keep the Manipuri winger in check and was left chasing shadows for most the game.
Vinit Rai (7): One of the better players for Delhi, Vinit, played the role of deep-lying midfielder and sometimes doubled up as a third centre-back whenever needed. Vinit also almost seemed to find free space and picked out his teammates with his passes.
Seityasen Singh (5): Seityasen was poor throughout the 45mins that he played. He seldom tracked back.
Joren Lumu (7): The Dutch midfielder hassled and harried the opponents and lunged into tackles at every chance he got. He made some good runs and provided some delicious final balls for his strikers.
Paulinho Dias (7): Paulinho tried his best to create space and openings, but was kept under close vigil by the likes of Adilson and Rowllin.
Guyon Fernandez (6.5): The better of the two forwards for Delhi, Guyon made some clever runs to beat the North East Offside trap. He was also the man who troubled Rehenesh the most during the game.
Kalu Uche (5): Way below-par is what can be said for Kalu Uche's performance. He often dropped deep in search of the ball, but couldn’t do anything with it.
Substitutes:
Lallianzuala Chhangte (6.5): Chhangte injected pace and life into the Delhi left wing. He did well to put in some delicious crosses into the box.
David Ngaihte (6): David was like a breath of fresh air for the Delhi attack as he nearly scored minutes after coming on, only to be denied by Rehenesh’s legs.
Edu Moya (6): With the inclusion of Moya the right side, Delhi’s defence looked a lot more stable and Moya did a good job to check the runs of Holicharan.
