ISL 2017, Match 17: Delhi Dynamos FC vs Jamshedpur FC, Player Ratings

Jamshedpur FC finally managed to find their first goal of the season, which helped them to register their maiden victory in ISL 2017. They could have made it 2-0, but Cameroonian centre-back Andre Bikey failed to convert the spot-kick into a goal in the 59th minute of the game. However, Izu Azuka headed a curled in free-kick perfectly into the back of the net just 2 minutes after that missed chance.

The hosts Delhi Dynamos become the fourth team to have failed to break the Jamshedpur defence, which means they will have to wait for little more than a month to get their first home win of this season. Delhi are yet to score their first goal at home. Delhi managed to take just 3 shots in the entire game, which is their lowest in any game so far this season.

Here we take a look at how the players from both sides fared during the game.

Albino Gomes – 8/10

Albino Gomes had a great game and was rightly named as the emerging player of the match. He made 4 brilliant saves before getting injured on the 86th minute.

Pratik Chowdhary – 6/10

Pratik Chowdhary did all the good work but gave away a penalty to Jamshedpur FC in the 59th minute of the game. He should have kept calm and hold his position instead.

Gabriel Cichero – 6/10

The Venezuelan centre-back didn’t had the best of days in the middle of the pitch. However, he had his moments especially during injury time, where he almost saved a goal through a brilliant block.

Munmun Lugun – 6/10

The young Delhi left-back didn’t had much to do tonight at the ground as visitors were mostly attacking from center of the box. He made just 2 clearances in the entire game. However, he tried to contribute in attack and supplied 8 crosses, but none of them were well directed.

Pritam Kotal – 5/10

Considering Jamshedpur’s line of attack, Indian international didn’t have so many chances to make his presence felt in defence. He managed to make just one block and one interception in the entire game.

Paulinho Dias – 7/10

The Brazilian midfielder had a brilliant game and created so many good chances for the Lions. He almost delivered an assist to Kalu Uche, but the goal was disallowed due to off-side. He delivered a total of 5 crosses and also had a shot on goal in the game. He is surly going to be a big asset for Delhi in upcoming games.

Jeroen Lumu – 5/10

The Dutch winger didn’t manage to contribute much to his side and also got caught in the off-side trap twice tonight. However, he almost delivered a decisive cross to Kalu Uche in the final minute of the game, which seems to be his only contribution in the game.

Vinit Rai – 5/10

Vinit also didn’t have much contribution for Delhi in the game. Most of the time he was at the receiving end in front of Mehtab Hossain.

Lallianzuala Chhangte – 5/10

The young winger couldn’t do much against the brilliant defnece of Jamshedpur FC. He was at the receiving end for most of the time and suffered 4 fouls in the game before being substituted in the 62nd minute of the game.

Guyon Fernandez – 5/10

Similar to other attacking players of Delhi, Guyon Fernandez was also clueless against the strong Jamshedpur defence. Playing on the left wing, he has managed to deliver just one cross in the entire game. He was also substituted on the 66th minute of the game.

Kalu Uche – 5/10

The Nigerian forward had a night to forget at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. He managed to take just one attempt on the opposition goal and that too was not on target. He managed to found the back of the net once, but that was caught off-side.
