Indian cricket’s ‘Master Blaster’ paid a surprise visit to the office of Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan in order to get some help from the government for the upcoming Indian Super League starting later this month.

A minimum of 9 matches will be played at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Kerala Blasters co-owner Sachin Tendulkar is leaving no stones unturned to make the affair a successful one.

The former cricketer along with wife found it difficult to make their way back to their car after the meet, as hundreds of people and the media gathered around them.

Following the meeting, Pinarayi posted a video of Sachin Tendulkar’s visit to his office on his official Facebook page. On being asked about the meeting later on, Tendulkar said, "We came to invite the CM to the inaugural match of the new season to be held in Kochi on the 17th.”

The home support of Kerala Blasters has been extraordinary and was also one of the most attended stadiums during the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup. The yellow brigade reached the finals of the inaugural season in 2014 and also last year, but failed to win on both occasions. Recruitment of International superstar Dimitar Berbatov will infuse strength to their attack and help in their pursuit of a maiden ISL title.

This will be biggest ISL season so far, with 10 teams participating and spanning over 5 months. Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur are the new entrants in the annual tournament.
