ISL 2017: 'We had to take risks', says Bengaluru coach Roca after 1-0 loss to Jamshedpur
Bengaluru FC fell to their second consecutive home defeat in the ISL after Jamshedpur managed to beat them 1-0 at the Kanteerava Stadium on Thursday night and Blues coach Albert Roca lamented the risks he took in the end of the game to try and get a result.
"We knew that they were a very organised team in defence and they did a good job. We had to try everything - with different systems and take more risks."
Roca had made a double change in the 85th minute in search of a goal with experienced centre-back Juan Antonio coming off.
The move seemed to backfire as Jamshedpur won a late penalty when Rahul Bheke brought down Sameehg Doutie in the box, allowing Brazilian midfielder Trindade Goncalves to make it 1-0 and seal the three points.
"We had to take some risks and it's a shame that after we won two games away that we lose two home games in the last minute," Roca continued.
"We have to learn that perhaps we are not so good but I'm also sure that we are not so bad. It was a game we didn't deserve to win but we didn't deserve to lose."

Bengaluru not in a position we expected: Roca
Roca cut a frustrated figure on the touchline on a couple of occasions, especially when the team failed to execute their plans on set-pieces. It is how the Blues managed to score in the first two home games but they have not come off in recent games.
"On one occasion, they did not do what we expected. We were making mistakes in the middle and we have not punished them.
"We knew the game would be like this. In the last 20 minutes, we had chances. Sunil [Chhetri] had a clear chance."

The result leaves the Blues in second place with 12 points having played one game more than Chennaiyin (third) and two more than league leaders FC Goa. All three teams are on 12 points each.
"We are not in the position that we expected to be six days ago," Roca said. "But this is football. We are not dead. It's hard when you see that we're losing games in the last minute."
