Albert Roca had led Bengaluru FC to the AFC Cup final in 2016.

After two successful seasons at the club, Spaniard Albert Roca has decided to part ways with Bengaluru FC, a decision that left many lost for words.

Roca has been one of the top managers in the country over the last two seasons, guiding Bengaluru FC to four finals, out of which they won two titles -- the Federation Cup in 2017 and the Super Cup in 2018.

However, what perhaps eclipsed these two trophies is the fact that he had also led the Blues to the final of the ACF Cup in 2016 and the ISL in 2018.

Here, we take a look at what some of the biggest names in Indian football had to say after Roca announced his departure from Bengaluru FC.

Bino George, Gokulam FC technical director

But its the setup at Bengaluru that is reaping more results for them. For that, the main credit goes to Ashley Westwood. But Roca is no doubt a good coach.
He took the team to both the ISL and the AFC Cup finals, which is no mean feat. His man management, planning are all great. Right from selecting his side, to planning the foreign transfers, he has done a great job at BFC.
Even here at Gokulam, I have told the management to model the club after BFC. They have set the standard for infrastructure in our country. They are not just a role model fur us, but for the whole country.

Aryn Williams, Neroca FC

I think Albert is a fantastic coach and has done an unbelievable thing with BFC and his time there. I hope this isnโ€™t the last we see of him within Indian football be at the national level or international level!

Bengaluru FC captain Sunil Chhetri and ace goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu thanked Roca for helping them improve as players

Mandar Tamhane, the chief technical officer at BFC has also went on to thank the Spaniard for his time at the club

Here are some of the other BFC players, who also expressed their gratitude to Roca
