The Grand Finale

With the semi-finals now done, all eyes will now be on the Fatorda Stadium in Goa on 14th March for the grand finale where Chennaiyin FC will take on ATK to decide the best team in the country.

Both the teams' journey to the final were eventful. Chennaiyin, who had barely qualified for the final with just 29 points from 18 matches, steamrolled past FC Goa 4-1 in the first leg. Goa, who had scored 10 more points than Chennaiyin in the league stage, put up a fight at home, but despite winning 4-2, bowed out of the tournament courtesy an aggregate score of 6-5 in favour of the team in blue.

While Goa weren’t able to mount a comeback, ATK successfully overturned the tie against Bengaluru FC although the side from Bengal had an easier route. Bengaluru won the first leg at home 1-0 and also opened the scoring in the second leg after just five minutes but it wasn’t enough to help them qualify for the final.

A brace from David Williams and a goal from Roy Krishna helped ATK win the second leg 3-1, sealing the tie 3-2 and booking a place in the final in the process.

And now, Chennaiyin take on ATK in the final of the ISL 2020. Given how dramatic both the semi-final second leg matches were, we could only expect more of the same in the final as both the teams have played two finals, each, and won both of them.

You can be a part of the grand spectacle and get the best seats in the house. All you have to do is answer a simple question and enjoy the moment of their lifetime in the ultimate match of the tournament by becoming the DHL delivery expert on the 14th of March in Goa!
