ISL Fantasy 2017/18: Tips for Bengaluru FC vs ATK

Match 42 of ISL 2017/18 sees Bengaluru FC take on ATK. Bengaluru FC are coming into the match on the back of a win while ATK are also high on confidence after registering seven points from their last three games which includes an away win against Mumbai City FC.

Goalkeepers

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu: The Indian national team goalkeeper had a forgettable start to the campaign getting sent off and subsequently missing the next two matches. But since his return he has proved his quality making crucial saves when required.

Defenders

Jordi Montel: The Spaniard has started the season superbly playing a big role in ATK's defence. He has led their backline in the four matches he has played so far. He has helped ATK build from the back. The 30-year-old has attempted 188 passes, only Conor Thomas has attempted more passes per match for ATK.

John Johnson: The Middlesbrough academy graduate has excelled in ISL leading Bengaluru FC’s defence. He has been a big reason for Bengaluru’s fine defensive record so far. The 26-year-old is dominant aerially which also makes him a threat in the opposition box.

Subhasish Bose: Subhasish provided an assist in Bengaluru FC’s last match against Kerala Blasters. He has impressed with his versatility filling in as a left back or a centre back. His energy going up and down the wing makes him a threat for the opposition while he is also perfectly suited to give clean sheet points.

Prabir Das: The marauding right back has impressed with his energy to run up and down the pitch. He has been decent defensively, the 24-year old has attempted 14 tackles in seven matches. With ATK possessing a strong defensive record Prabir has a chance to earn clean sheet points.

Midfielders

Edu Garcia: Edu Garcia is the man who makes Bengaluru FC tick, The Spanish winger is a threat with his vision and dangerous set-pieces. He has contributed with a goal and four assists so far. His offensive threat can be highlighted by the fact that he has taken 18 shots as well.

Conor Thomas: The Englishman has stuck to his tasks quite well so far. He helps ATK take control of the match through his faultless distribution. The 23-year-old has attempted 429 passes, the most by a ATK player. He has also helped defensively making 15 tackles so far, second most by a ATK player.

Toni Dovale: The Spaniard after being overlooked earlier in the campaign has impressed recently whenever given the chance. He has impressed with his crossing and passing. The 28-year-old already has two assists to his name and has shown enough to warrant his selection in your team.

Forwards

Robbie Keane: Keane’s return from injury has added more urgency and quality in the final third for ATK. The 38-year-old has proved his quality scoring in each of his last two matches helping ATK collect 4 points in the process. He will be ATK’s biggest weapon.

Sunil Chhetri: The Indian captain comes into the match in fine form having scored in three of his last four matches. His increased threat this season can be highlighted by the fact that he has attempted 25 shots so far, only two players have attempted more.

Miku: Bengaluru FC won their last match 3-1 courtesy of a brace by Miku, he scored his 8th goal of the campaign and is now the 2nd highest scorer of ISL 2017/18. The Venezuelan’s deadly shooting can be highlighted by the fact that he has attempted 19 shots and 15 of those have been on target.
