ISL Fantasy 2017: Tips for Bengaluru FC vs Delhi Dynamos FC
The 10th match of ISL 2017 sees Bengaluru FC take on Delhi Dynamos. Both teams started their campaign with fine wins, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. The match will feature some exciting attackers.
Goalkeeper
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu: The first Indian goalkeeper to play a Europa League match was relatively untroubled in his opening match against Mumbai City FC. The 25-year-old is expected to be busier against Delhi Dynamos, but with a strong defence ahead of him and his shot-stopping abilities, he will be confident of keeping another clean sheet.
Defenders
John Johnson: The Middlesbrough youth Academy graduate was superb helping Bengaluru keep a clean sheet in their opening match. The 29-year-old aerially dominated Mumbai’s attackers and his aerial prowess means he can be handy in the opposition box as well.
Pritam Kotal: India’s no 1 right back produced a fine defensive display against Pune, capping it off with an assist as well. The 24-year-old’s speed and crossing means he is always a threat for the opposition. Kotal attempted 4 crosses against FC Pune City and will look to prove his worth against Bengaluru FC.
Harmanjeet Khabra: The energetic Khabra was deployed at right wing back position and impressed with his energy and work rate. His deployment at right wing back gives him ample opportunities to score attacking points to go with getting clean sheet points.
Midfielders
Paulinho Dias: The Brazilian midfielder made a cracking debut scoring the opening goal in Delhi Dynamos win against FC Pune City. The 29-year-old ran the show against FC Pune City. He created the most chances by any midfielder in an ISL game so far. The former Atletico PR midfielder is a must pick for your fantasy team.
Matias Mirabaje: The Uruguayan midfielder announced his arrival in style, scoring a thunderous left-footed shot in the top corner against FC Pune City. His attacking threat can be highlighted by the fact that he attempted 5 shots, the most by a Delhi player.
Eduardo Garcia: Eduardo Garcia proved his goal-scoring prowess, opening the scoring against Mumbai City FC with a precise low shot. He attempted 2 shots both of which were on target. He is also entrusted with corner duties, further increasing his chances of scoring attacking points.
Lallianzuala Chaangte: Lallianzuala Chaangte, the 20-year-old youngster produced a superb performance troubling the Pune defence with his pace and trickery, helping Delhi win their opening match. He assisted Delhi’s opening goal with a pin-point cross and also scored the 2nd goal using his pace. He attempted the most crosses and the most dribbles by a Delhi player.
Forwards
Sunil Chhetri: Sunil Chhetri failed to score in 6 appearances in ISL 2016 for Mumbai City FC. But the Indian captain, back in the familiar surroundings of Bengaluru FC, showed his true class scoring a goal which sealed Bengaluru’s win. He also created the most chances and attempted the joint most shots by a Bengaluru player.
Kalu Uche: The Nigerian had a subdued evening by his standards but the Delhi Dynamos captain has played at the highest level and is a proven goalscorer, as is evident from his 7 goals in pre-season matches. With Delhi Dynamos favouring a crossing game, the big Nigerian can be expected to get on the score sheet.
Udanta Singh: The speedy forward was a threat all evening, troubling the Mumbai City FC defenders with his pace and direct runs. The 21-year-old provided the assist for Bengaluru’s opener against Mumbai City FC. He also got into some dangerous positions but failed to provide the finishing touch. He attempted the joint most shots by a Bengaluru player in their opener.
