ISL: FC Goa fans clean up trash in stadium after match against Delhi Dynamos
Remember the Japanese fans at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil who stayed behind after their match to clean up the trash at the stadium?
Closer to home, that seems to have rubbed off on the fans watching the Indian Super League, specifically the fans of FC Goa.
After the match against Delhi Dynamos, the fans were seeing cleaning up sections of the stadium; clearing items like empty water bottles, plastic flags and banners lying between and under the seats.
In this Facebook album titled ANM Cleaning Revolution, there are a number of images of fans cleaning the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda, Goa.
According to the description, the head of the cleaning department says it takes them three days to clean the near 25,000 capacity stadium as there are only 50 workers to do the job. With the help of these noble fans, the work was completed in one hour.
This is certainly a superb effort that must be lauded by football fans around the country and it should set a trend for fans at the other venues to clean up after the game.
Hats off to these FC Goa fans!
