Jack Wilshere's Twitter Q&A goes horribly wrong as Arsenal star is abused and trolled

Jack Wilshere recently made his return from injury for Arsenal

Arsenal’s star midfielder Jack Wilshere was subject to abuse and was mercilessly trolled while hosting a Twitter Q&A session organised by ESPN UK. The Englishman has only recently made his return from injury, but the Twitterati did not let up on him, constantly asking questions about his poor injury record, which led to the session predictably being called off.

ESPN UK had the bright idea to organise a Twitter session with the Arsenal man, given that Wilshere had only recently made his return from injury and was in line to be called up to the England squad for the 2016 UEFA Euros in France. Using the hashtag ‘#AskJackWilshere’, ESPN UK’s tweet was innocuous enough:

Twitter descended into it’s anarchic and abusive best/worst, as can be witnessed by the tweet below:

With Wilshere’s injury record becoming the stuff of legend, there were those who were quick to make light of the Englishman’s frailness, tweeting:

Predictably, Spurs fans took Wilshere to task, noting that Wilshere is now second best to Dele Alli in the England lineup.

There were also those who made light of Wilshere’s run-ins with the law, as well as his ‘fondness’ for cigarettes.

Predictably, Wilshere cancelled his Q&A after the overwhelming nature of facetious questions. Time to delete the Twitter app, Jack.
