John Terry to miss Chelsea's FA Cup tie against Manchester City

The two teams will lock horns for a fifth round tie at Stamford Bridge

Veteran defender John Terry has been ruled out of Chelsea's FA Cup encounter against Manchester City this weekend, interim coach Guus Hiddink announced on Friday. The two teams will lock horns for a fifth round tie at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Terry also missed Chelsea's Champions League encounter this week where they lost 1-2 against French Ligue One club Paris Saint-Germain.

I hope next weekend he will be available: Hiddink

"He will not be fit for this weekend," Hiddink was quoted as saying by Skysports on Friday.

"I saw him this morning. He was with the physios yesterday, trying a bit on the pitch. Still too many problems to be fit for the weekend."

Hiddink however, hopes the 35-year-old would be fit for his side's English Premier League game against Southampton on February 27.

"We have a week, I hope next weekend he will be available. I cannot predict it. I think we have to be a bit cautious with him as well," Hiddink added.
