John Terry: 'Terry'ble indeed!

Chelsea‘s John Terry has the knack of grabbing headlines. After his innumerable shenangians, both on and off the field, Terry is recently embroiled in a legal case for ‘racially’ abusing Queens Park Rangers‘ Anton Ferdinand during a league fixture last season. The ongoing case is one amongst many controversies Terry has been in, and here is a hilarious list of things Terry should have avoided.

1. Stop trying his hand at comedy and start watching the news more often!

Terry shows off his comic skills, of course without the required comic timing, as he attempts to mock a few American tourists at London’s Heathrow airport as a drunkard. And this he tries just a few days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Gets fined two weeks wages by Chelsea for his failed act!

2. Stop pretending to be a superhero!

In a brazen act of ‘bravery’, Terry tries to play ‘Superman’ as he tries to match a nightclub bouncer, punch for punch, and uses a ‘Beer bottle’ as his weapon, just before the start of England’s 2002 World Cup campaign. But sadly, Terry finds out that playing hero is not his cup of tea as he gets kicked out of the World Cup squad.

3. When having the urge to pee, ask directions to the nearest bathroom!

This one takes the cake! In another one of his nightclub antics, Terry apparently forgets his way to the bathroom and decides a beer glass will be the perfect thing to pee in, as he slyly drops it off on the dance floor. Gets caught on hidden cameras!

4. Get a map!

Terry confuses a ramshackled bay for a car park and ends up parking his expensive Bentley in the bay. Gets fined 60 pounds for his sudden loss of direction!

 5.  Car ‘ Poole ‘

In a sudden change  of heart, Terry admits to cheating on wife Toni Poole with a 17 year old girl in a public car park. A surprise that Poole did not force Terry to use the local transport!

 6. Stop the tourist guide act!

Terry tries his hand at tour guiding, as he shows around an undercover news reporter around Chelsea’s  training ground complex in 2009. Reportedly, Terry accepted a bribe of 10,000  pounds from the ‘reporter’ and when investigated by Chelsea and the F.A later, was lucky enough to escape unscathed!

7. Never cheat on your best friend’s girlfriend!

Terry learns that, ‘ A best friend’s girlfriend’  is meant to be ‘A best friend’s girlfriend’, as he gets caught having a four month affair with best bud, Wayne Bridges’ girlfriend, Vanessa Perroncel. Terry loses his friendship with ex-Chelsea team mate Bridge, and also the England captaincy to Rio Ferdinand!

Though Terry, still remains,  one of the great quality centerbacks England has produced over the years, the above list may well encourage Terry to keep off more controversies and try finishing his club and country career on a high note!
