Jose Mourinho says 'lies' have been written about him; wants summer return

Mourinho wants to be in a new managerial job by July

Jose Mourinho has cleared the air about rumours surrounding when he wants to return to the top job saying he wants to manage a new club in July. The former Chelsea manager said that he has been “reading and listening to a few lies” about his future.

Mourinho has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea in December, however, he has been continuously linked with the Manchester United job.

The Portuguese manager said that he is hopeful of a summer return and he claims to have turned down many ‘good’ offers.

Speaking to Fletch and Sav on BT Sport, the 53-year-old said: “I was lucky enough to have good options since I left Chelsea in December. Yes I was lucky enough to have not just options but good options but I made a decision to wait calm in my corner, not disturbing, just waiting, reading a few lies, listen to a few lies.

“The reality is that I want to work and normally July, mid-July, new pre-season starts and somewhere I want to be there.”

Mourinho asked to apologise publicly by Eva Carneiro

Former doctor of the Chelsea team Eva Carneiro has asked for a public apology from Jose Mourinho according to her lawyer. The doctor was part of the Chelsea medical team but was confronted  by the Portuguese manager during a Premier League clash for going on the pitch without his permission

She was later criticised by the manager which led to her being dropped from first team duty after the incident during the Swansea game on the opening day of the season. Carneiro resigned from her post in December citing, alleged victimisation and discrimination as her reasons for  her departure.

And now Mourinho is set to face personal legal action from the Doctor and her lawyers for his actions and comments. The 42-year-old specialist also has an ongoing private employment tribunal with the football club which took place a week back at the at Croydon Employment Tribunal.

Carneiro served as Chelsea’s doctor from 2009 until 2015 but this was her first spell working under Mourinho. The settlement proposed by the judge must be agreed upon by all three parties i.e Carneiro, Chelsea and Mourinho. If any of the parties does not find it satisfactory then the case would proceed to an employment tribunal.

The hearing for that case will then be heard in public on the 6th of June according to Press Association Sport. Statements from witnesses, several documents including text messages and emails will all be made public for the case.

Mourinho, Carniero and few other representatives will also be called as witnesses for the hearing. Chelsea have refused to comment on the situation but there is a possibility that Mourinho and the club could settle the case at any time.
