Jose Mourinho opens the door for Inter Milan return

Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has increased speculation of his alleged move away from the Bernabeu by claiming he would love to return to coach Inter Milan again in future.

Ex-Inter coach Mourinho is extensively believed to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, and his love for the Premier League is well-known, while former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes he is bound for money-spinning French side Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the rumour mill has been put on alert that Mourinho could go back to Inter, especially after some recent developments, where the wily Portuguese said, “I also wonder why I left. Inter is the club where I liked to be. No one gave me the same happiness.”

These remarks are seen as an open offer made to Inter President Massimo Moratti, and it further suggests that he would welcome a chance to return to the club at which he won the treble – the Champions League, Serie A and the Coppa Italia in 2010, and where he is compared with another legendary Inter coach, Helenio Herrera.

He said in a video for Gazzetta dello Sport, in support of World Down’s Syndrome Day, “I had two fantastic years in Italy with my Inter FC, you never know – maybe I’ll be back one day. If I do, it will be with great pleasure and great emotion.”

However, Inter president Massimo Moratti had last week out rightly rejected the possibility that Mourinho could replace Andrea Stramaccioni.

Moratti said, “It’s impossible; I have not had contact with anyone. I haven’t called him, they haven’t called me and I do not want a call. I have made myself clear.”
