Jose Mourinho sends signed photograph in response to six-year-old Aston Villa fan's job offer
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho took the time to respond to the plea of a six-year-old Aston Villa fan Jude Branson, who had written him a letter asking him to take over the struggling Premier League team. Villa are set for a tough relegation battle ahead and manager Paul Lambert was sacked recently after a host of poor performances.
Mourinho, who currently manages Chelsea who sit at the top of the Premier League table with a comfortable seven-point lead, sadly could not take little Jude up on his job offer. However, the ex-Real Madrid manager couldn’t turn a deaf ear and sent Jude a signed photograph instead.
Phil Branson, Jude’s father told the Birmingham Mail, “Jude had a nice surprise today when he came back home from school to find that Jose had sent him a signed picture addressed to himself. The only thing he wanted from his letter was Mourinho to take over at Villa. He didn't get that! So the next best thing for him is definitely this acknowledgement from the man himself.”
“It'll be framed and put on his bedroom wall. It's good to know that his letter was read and maybe even planted the seed in his head which will lead him to the Villa job one day. This is an excellent way to end a brilliant few days for Jude.”
Jude’s letter to Mourinho
Six-year-old Jude Branson, who is a fan of Aston Villa, decided to write a hand-written letter to ‘The Special One’, requesting the Portuguese to take over as manager of his team in their time of turmoil. The letter read:
“Dear Mr Mourinho, My name is Jude. I am 6 years old and I support Aston Villa. You are my favourite manager. Please could you manage Villa and bring Costa with you? We need help.”
“Thank you, Jude Branson."
