The ‘special one’ has finally been appointed as the Manchester United manager and Manchester United fans will be looking forward to a new era of success under the Portuguese manager. Mourinho was sought after some top clubs across Europe like Valencia and Paris Saint-Germain but the lure of the Premier League was too strong for the former Chelsea manager to resist. You may love him or hate him, but you just cannot ignore Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager has had trophy laden spells in whichever club he has managed and it is no wonder that he often refers to himself as the ‘special one’. He has managed a host of top clubs across Europe, so here is the list of every club he has managed in his career along with the number of trophies won.

What many people might not know about the Portuguese manager is that he satrted his career at Porto’s bitter rivals Benfica. After a one year spell there, he moved to Unaio De Leria where he started making his name as a manger and managed to draw the attention of Porto.
He led Porto to an unprecedented Champions League title in his tenure and by the time he came to Chelsea in 2004, he was confident to call himslef the ‘special one’. After hugely successful spells at Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea, the Portuguese manager will now be taking charge of the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
