Jose Mourinho to leave Real Madrid at end of season - Reports

Reports from Spain suggest that Jose Mourinho has informed coaches at Canillas about his impending departure from Real Madrid, insisting that he will not be serving as the La Liga club’s manager next season.

Speculation regarding the Portuguese leaving Santiago Bernabeu have been making the rounds for a while, with clubs like Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco said to be chasing him.

There is no official confirmation of the exit yet by either Mourinho or the La Liga club, but his reported meeting with the coaching staff have got speculations brewing further.

According to leading Spanish website AS, Canillas president Manuel Alvarez told Spanish radio station La Cope: “Mourinho told us that he won’t be able to give his usual technical talk to our coaching staff next season because he’s not going to be here.

“If Mourinho is going then it is a great loss for Spanish football. I hope Florentino Perez can fix it,” he added.

Mourinho’s son appears for Canillas, which is why Mourinho is a frequent visitor at the club.
