Just Rooney not enough to win World Cup, says Neymar

Neymar, the Brazilian superstar, believes that Wayne Rooney is the only hope for the Three Lions. “England are a good team with some very good players — but I don’t look at them as one of our main rivals for the World Cup,” Neymar told The Sun.

“Maybe they rely too much on Rooney — once you look past him you don’t see an obvious player who can win them a match. But Brazil have got many players who can.”

“England have players to do well — but do I think they have the same quality as Spain and Argentina? No. Look at Argentina. If Messi is not having a great game they still have Aguero and Tevez.”

“And with Spain, if Iniesta is having an off day, they have got Xavi and Villa.”

The wanted 21-year-old who is worth £50 million, is being targeted by many big teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris St. Germain. But according to Neymar, he is not planning on moving from Brazil to Europe anytime soon. He is working hard and putting in great efforts to help Brazil win the World Cup in 2014.

Neymar said: “A lot of things have been written about my future but they cannot be true because no decision has been made.
I’m happy at Santos now and I’m not even thinking about leaving. When the time comes, I’ll consider all offers from the big European clubs but to say that I have already committed is wrong. It’s nice when I hear top players saying I’ll be the world’s best player and I’ve got the talent.”

“But it’s important to stay humble so I need to carry on working hard and learning. Everyone in the Brazil squad loves having Luiz Felipe Scolari as our coach. We all respect him and he’s already coming up with new ideas. And he’s clear that only winning the World Cup will do next year.”
