Reports: Juventus in talks with Liverpool star
What's the rumour?
Liverpool's contract rebel Emre Can has been linked with a move to Juventus for so long that people now remain straight-faced at the mention of it.
But in what is a new twist, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus, frustrated with the fact that nothing has been finalized yet, has given the Liverpool midfielder a 7-day deadline to sign a pre-contract agreement with the Old Lady.
In case you didn't know...
Juventus have been leading the race to sign Emre Can who has been unwilling to sign a new contract at Anfield. There were reports in the winter which claimed that Can had verbally agreed to join Juventus.
Can's current contract at Liverpool runs until the 30th of June and is free to join any club outside of England as the Merseysiders do not want to lose him out to a rival club.
The heart of the matter
According to the report, Juventus are ready to send a few officials over to England to hold a meeting and finalize the Emre Can deal.
It had been earlier brought to light that Can's agent, Reza Fazeli, had promised Juve that the 24-year-old German international will join the Old Lady and this had led to other interested clubs cooling off their interest in the player.
Manchester City were also sporadically mentioned to have an interest in Can but nothing has come of it. However, following the Alexis Sanchez saga which took a sharp u-turn in the city of Manchester, Juventus' concerns seem reasonable and given the fact that Emre Can can sign a pre-contract agreement, the deal could get finalized in the coming week.
Though the deal will be signed now, Can will only move to Juventus when the summer transfer window reopens in July.
Rumour probability/rating: 7/10
With quite a few news outlet reporting on the same, it does look like there's some truth to it. As mentioned above, a deal could go anywhere until the player puts pen to paper and Juventus wanting him to do exactly that sounds like a reasonable ask.

Author's take
If Emre Can's mind is clear, he should just sign the deal and ship out to Juventus. Juve are a top team and since Emre Can has rejected the chance to extend his contract at Liverpool, it is clear that his heart is not in Anfield.
This should work out well for the player and both the clubs. So, put pen to paper, Can.
