Juventus targeting Manchester United striker Robin van Persie
Juventus are strongly considering placing a bid on Manchester United’s Robin van Persie after widespread speculations indicate that the 30-year-old striker is not happy with the way things are going at the Old Trafford club.
The Red Devils, under their new boss David Moyes, are struggling to get their act together and at the moment are not even in consideration for a Champions League spot, leave alone winning the league. The Netherlands international joined United from Arsenal in the summer of 2012, which also happened to be Sir Alex Ferguson’s last season with the club.
Former Italian footballer and now TV presenter Massimo Brambati told Tuttosport: “I know that Van Persie is not happy at Manchester United, Juventus has the right contract to try to bring him to Italy.
“The Juventus team is already very strong, so the strategy must be to sign the very best and to go for such players who are ready to leave their clubs, like the Dutch.”
