Juventus told to improve offer for Brazil's Doria
Rio de Janeiro, Jan 24 (IANS) Brazilian club Botafogo has reportedly demanded an improved offer from Italy’s Juventus for the sale of highly rated defender Doria.
The Turin giants have had a second proposal of $12 million for the 18-year-old rejected by the Rio de Janeiro club, reports Xinhua.
“There have been no developments in the Doria case,” Botafogo’s football manager Anibal Rouxinol Segundo said Wednesday.
Doria returned to Brazil this week after representing Brazil’s Under-20 team that was eliminated from the South American championships in Argentina.
Botafogo holds a 40 percent stake in the centre-back with the balance held by a consortium of investors.
