Bale advised to leave Real Madrid
Dimitar Berbatov has advised his former teammate, Gareth Bale to leave Real Madrid in the summer. The former Manchester United and Tottenham striker was talking to Betfair when he revealed his advice for the Welshman.
"Bale seems to be getting the blame for everything that goes wrong at Real Madrid - which is wrong. His stats this season are 12 goals from 30 appearances, he is performing, yet he is still the whipping boy. If you don't feel appreciated, then you have to move on," he said in an interview with Betfair [via Marca]
"It's a question of money of course and I don't think that Tottenham can over a hundred million on a player. But Bale is a world-class player and it would be great to see him back (in the Premier League)," added the striker.
Barcelona eye Chelsea target
Barcelona have set sights on signing Saul Niguez according to AS. The Spanish publication reports that the Catalan side are keen on signing the midfielder as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic.
The Atletico Madrid star has a €150 million release clause and that is reportedly set to be activated by Chelsea, who are in desperate need of an attacking midfielder. Barcelona are looking to negotiate a deal and are set to make an offer of €110 million first as per the report.
Real Madrid eye Benzema's replacement
Real Madrid have identified Karim Benzema's replacement and it is none other that Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman is seen as a long-term replacement for the striker and not Cristiano Ronaldo according to reports in Spain.
However, he will not be signing this summer. Los Blancos are set to wait until 2020 before making a move for him as his deal at PSG will be entering its final stages. Benzema has also named him as his ideal successor and Florentino Perez has also given the green signal.
