Rumour: EPL's find of the season to move to Italy
Today’s Ridiculous Rumour of the Day is brought to you by Il Corriere Dello Sport in Italy, who claim Southampton’s Adam Lallana is being targeted by Champions League-chasing Fiorentina.
Lallana, 25, has been at Southampton his entire career and is now the club captain. He broke through into the team when the Saints were languishing lower down in the football league but has helped his boyhood club gain back-to-back promotions and is now excelling in the Premier League.
The talented midfielder has also been handed his first and second England caps by Roy Hodgson. He made his debut in a 2-0 defeat to Chile and his second appearance was also a defeat, this time to Germany.

As good as Lallana has been this season, you’d be hard-pressed to find a stranger link than to Fiorentina who already boast plenty of talented midfielders. The likes of Borja Valero and Matias Fernandez are having a fantastic season so the link to Lallana doesn’t make sense.
Lallana has recently also been heavily linked to Manchester United, too.
