Latest FIFA rankings – Switzerland and England top climbers

FIFA confirmed earlier that only top seven teams at the end of the October FIFA rankings will be considered as seeded teams in the world cup along with the host Brazil.

The defending champions Spain are sitting comfortably at the top with 1513 points. Ever improving Germany takes the second spot followed closely by Argentina at 3rd. Switzerland and England are the top climbers in the list as they moved 7 places each ahead of their previous positions. But, England will still not be seeded for the World Cup as they just finished in 10th position.

Shockingly, last time finalist Netherlands and ex-World champions Italy fall out of the top seven even after finishing unbeaten in their qualification games.
