Lazio chasing Arsenal and Tottenham target Javier Hernandez
Lazio have joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the chase for Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez.
Arsenal and Spurs have been leading the chase for the United forward, but now Lazio are set to open talks with the player. According to various reports in Italy, Hernandez wasn’t willing to sign a new contract and so could be available for a cut-price deal.
Lazio’s President Claudio Lotito has already indicated that talks would indeed be had with the striker. He said, “We have a meeting regarding the contract of Hernanes pencilled in for the next few weeks”.
“Am I hopeful? I’m used to dealing with facts. I don’t bandage up my head before breaking it.”
Hernandez has not had enough opportunities at Manchester United, with him unable to hold down a starting berth on a consistent basis. A new club would give him a new lease of life for his career.
