Liverpool started the game in their usual attacking fashion. The first chance fell to Mohamed Salah who failed to score from a close range. But Liverpool kept the pressure going and got the reward for their efforts when Robertson found Mané who stabbed home from 10 yards out to give Liverpool the lead within the first 10 minutes of the game.
Whenever Leicester had the ball, Liverpool was quick to close them down and tried to get the ball back within five seconds. The relentless Liverpool pressure made Leicester gasping for breath.
The first chance for Leicester fell to Gray who saw his powerful low shot saved by some fantastic reactions from Alisson. It all started from a misplaced pass from Wijnaldum, but overall Liverpool looked quite comfortable on the ball and flawlessly played passes among themselves. With Vardy suspended, Leicester City's outfield ball from the midfield was virtually out of the game. Still, the Foxes took few shots on goal but nothing substantial to trouble Alisson on goal.
Leicester patience finally broke when Firmino headed home from a corner to give Liverpool a two-goal lead before the halftime. Leicester paid for their zonal parking tactics in set pieces. Liverpool was dominant in the first 45 minutes with two of the front three getting on the score sheet, and you cannot argue that they deserved to go into the break with their nose ahead.
Leicester started the second half on the front foot, but as the first half, there was nobody upfront the get that finishing touch. Gomez made a brilliant block to deny Maddison a shot from close range. They finally got their goal when Ghezzal punished a mistake by Alisson to score his first goal. With the crowd behind, the Foxes had their tails up and were repeatedly threating to score the equalizer. Leicester pressed late for the elusive goal but never managed to pose any threat till the end of the match.

#1 Sadio Mane in sublime form
Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to see his primary striker in sublime form at this stage of the season. Though the front three are yet to get to the level, they had shown last season, but Mane has done his part so far this season. Firmino also had his first goal of the season.
Sadio has found the net in all the four matches of this campaign and will be looking to add more to his tally when Liverpool resumes their business after the International break which can sometimes disrupt a team's rhythm as seen in the past.
