Although the new terms of the contract agreed between both the parties are yet to be announced, it is being speculated that the new contract will see a major improvement in Messi’s earnings with his salary going up from €13 million to approximately €20 million along with bonuses worth €3 million per season.
The duration of the contract and Messi’s buyout clause remains unaffected, reports Marca.
The 26-year-old has also agreed to end his sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines, and allow the club to use images of the player.
