Neymar admits Barcelona are dependent on Lionel Messi
Barcelona’s highly rated midfielder Neymar has accepted the fact that Barcelona are hugely depended on Argentine superstar Lionel Messi. Neymar has been named in Brazil’s squad for the Rio Olympics 2016 and is set to be the main focus of the team.
“I've never liked talking about myself, but I'll give Barcelona's example. We have great players but will we deny we are dependent on Messi? Of course, we depend (on him)” Neymar told a news conference.
Neymar clearly pointed out that Messi is the main man at Barcelona and things revolve around him. The players look up to the best player in the world every week for a win. The Brazilian captain was not hesitant to declare Messi to be “the man” at the Nou Camp.

Neymar quoted “I'm not ashamed of playing for him or for the fact that he is the man. Messi is the best in the world, I want to depend on him.”
Brazil has not been in a good run of form in recent times. Their 2014 World Cup campaign came to a crashing halt when Germany handed them a 7-1 defeat in the semi-finals. In the following few years, their performance has nosedived with uninspiring performances in Copa America 2015 and the Copa America Centenario 2016, which Neymar missed. This has led to talks about Brazil banking solely on Neymar.
Neymar, however, has no issues with Brazil depending upon him as he gives the example of Barcelona where it is always a Messi show. Brazil will look to win the Olympic gold on home soil which is an added pressure to the young side. But we know what Neymar and Brazil are capable of.
“Winning is a very good thing. The pressure is part of the football, I'm here for that. It's part of the game this pressure when I'm on the field. They [the other players] are young, but we know our responsibility of playing for Brazil in our home country, in the Olympics.”

The Barcelona winger also spoke about the pride of losing a game. He thinks that one must not be afraid to lose as it takes away the will to succeed.
“I'm not concerned with that. Fear takes away the will to win. I'm not afraid of losing. If we lose, may it happen with pride” Neymar told the reporters.
With the Rio Olympics not far away Rogerio Micale’s side are confident of gaining the pole position. Although it will depend pretty much on their talisman Neymar, one of the bests in the world.
