Liverpool latest including Alonso comeback and Pastore rumours

A return to Anfield on the cards for Xabi Alonso?

According to recent reports, Liverpool are very much interested in bringing back Xabi Alonso to Anfield in January. If Real Madrid fail to negotiate a contract extension with the pinpoint passer soon, then there is a high possibility that he may want to return to his former club in England.

Real Madrid’s new signing Asier Illarramendi’s recent good form indicates that Real Madrid can cope without the Spanish midfielder. Since his contract is about to be expired in June 2014, Real Madrid will be forced to sell him during the January window for a cheaper fee as they may lose him for free when the season ends.

In other Liverpool news, according to The Metro, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore is linked with a January move to the merseyside club.

Pastore has been playing his trade at PSG since 2011. Now, the rumours claim that he is unhappy in Paris and is ready to take up a new adventure in his career elsewhere. Liverpool are reported to be one of many top European clubs who are interested in signing the 24 year old play maker.

AC Milan and Juventus are the other interested parties who are planning to give competition to Liverpool for Pastore’s signature.
