Liverpool news: Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson visited strip club in the last international break
Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana reportedly visited a strip club on the same night as the Wayne Rooney controversy. The pair travelled from the England team hotel during the most recent international break and made a 220 mile trip to Bournemouth, according to the Sun.
The outlet claims Henderson and Lallana visited the “For Your Eyes Only” club from the team hotel in Hertfordshire. There are other reports claiming that other England players partied at another club till 4:30 in the morning during the international break.
This comes at an ill opportune time for the English side, especially after the Wayne Rooney fiasco. The England captain was pictured drinking and celebrating at a wedding and was then forced to apologise for his behaviour during the break.
A storm in a teacup as the Reds make merry
The Liverpool pair reportedly left the club at around 1 AM as Lallana was accompanied by his friends. The 28-year-old midfielder was born in the city and did take a few sips of an alcoholic drink while Henderson, who does not drink, only had water.
A performer at the club even stated that the former Southampton star brought other Liverpool players with him.
“Some of the girls were invited up to drink with the group and a couple of the footballers’ friends had private dances.
“Lallana comes here regularly. All the girls know him. He sometimes brings other Liverpool players too.”
While many are up in arms from the latest revelations, the English team had given the players a day off after their 3-0 win over Scotland and the Liverpool pair didn’t really cause a lot of problems or drink heavily such as Wayne Rooney.
The England captain did receive support from an unlikely source recently with Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, claiming that some of the best footballers ever, drank and smoked a lot during their playing time.
What the players do during their off time has given many detractors to criticise their behaviour but as long as the performance isn’t affected, there should not be problems. Wayne Rooney has struggled off late while Henderson and Lallana have been brilliant for their club this season.
The game against Spain saw Lallana go off after 20 minutes and he even missed out on the 0-0 draw for Liverpool against Southampton. Henderson, on the other hand, continued putting in impressive performances this season as the Reds look forward to a first Premier League title.
