Liverpool striker Luis Suarez warns England that he will be at the World Cup

Luis Suarez has said that he will be fit for the FIFA World Cup

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez appears to be optimistic over the knee injury that is threatening to derail his World Cup campaign, tweeting today that he will be at the World Cup despite his injury.

The Uruguayan forward, who faces England in the tournament’s group stages, underwent surgery last week to solve a knee problem that he picked up in a challenge with Paul Dummett in Liverpool’s last Premier League game of the season, against Newcastle United.

The injury has put his participation in the tournament’s early stages in doubt, but Suarez remains upbeat. He tweeted that “my dream remains intact. I will be there,” followed by a promotional video from his boot sponsors Adidas.

<Suarez, linked with Real Madrid, had the season of his life at club level, scoring 31 goals in just 33 league games. He also provided 12 assists and has been pinpointed as the main danger to his country of residence when the two nations meet on June 19th.

No player in Europe’s top-five leagues was involved in more goals than Suarez
