Legendary Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal most likely to join Tottenham Hotspur next season
One of the most successful contemporary managers in the game, Louis Van Gaal has dropped the biggest hint yet, that he could be working at the White Hart Lane come next season.
The Netherlands national team coach has confirmed he will step down from his current job at the end of the season, after the World Cup campaign in Brazil.
When asked about the possibility of managing in the Premier League next season, he said, “At Tottenham? Maybe Tottenham are coming.”
The 65-year old was heavily linked with the north London outfit following the sacking of Portuguese manager Andre Villas-boas, but was ruled out after he confirmed he will manage the Dutch team at least till the end of the World Cup.
Although the Spurs have given Tim Sherwood a one and a half year contract, the Englishman’s place will be less than secure if he fails to guide the club into the Champions League next season.
Chairman Daniel Levy will be looking to bring in the world class manager to help achieve the club’s lofty ambitions of fighting for the Premier League and Champions League.
