Luis Suarez 'left his passport at home' and almost didn't make the flight to London

Luis Suarez almost didn't make it to London to play Arsenal

Luis Suarez came very close to not playing against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night. The Uruguayan striker reportedly left his passport at home and realised only when he reached the airport to leave to London with the rest of his teammates, report Independent

The former Liverpool man – part of the deadly 'MSN' alongside South American strikers Lionel Messi and Neymar – has in the past scored goals against Arsenal. Had his exclusion from the squad been official or complete, Arsenal might've had a little more hope.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, a member of the Barcelona staff went back to the Uruguayan's house and fetched his passport in time for the striker to make the plane with the rest of the Catalan team.

Suarez has found the net in all of his last 7 appearances for Barcelona and has scored 15 goals in 9 games making him a real threat to the Arsenal defence. The Gunners meanwhile, drew their last game against Championside Hull in the FA Cup and will be hoping to put in a solid display to limit Luis Enrique's team.

The biggest problem Arsenal face against Barcelona is the bond and the understanding amongst the three South Americans up top. Suarez alone has scored 41 teams this season with Messi and Neymar behind him. While Neymar may be more of a creator in the three, his goal-scoring prowess should never be doubted.

Arsenal are likely to field a back four of Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Nacho Monreal. With 'MSN' constantly shuffling along the width of the pitch, Arsenal's Spanish full-backs will have a hard time keeping up with who's who to mark.
