Madrid refuse Ancelloti buy out clause
Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez has given Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti a period of ten days to resolve his future with the French giants.
Perez has welcomed the option of having the Italian at the helm at Real but in no circumstances is he ready to pay for Ancelotti’s buyout clause. A different situation to what happened with Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho. The Whites paid four million to Villarreal to claim the Chilean while they paid 16 million (although Madrid claimed to have paid 8m) to liberate the Portuguese from Inter.
Ancelotti has a year left on his PSG contract, but his relationship with the owners of the club has been on the rocks. The Italian coach will meet the owners to discuss his future at the club and it remains to be seen if he is keen to take the Madrid offer.
