The action continues in round five of the German Bundesliga as Mainz and Heidenheim go head to head at MEWA Arena on Saturday. Both sides head into the weekend off the back of contrasting results, with Frank Schmidt’s men losing at home against Freiburg.
Mainz finally got their Bundesliga campaign up and running last Friday when they picked up a thrilling 3-2 victory over Augsburg at the WWK Arena.

Heidenheim will now look to avoid losing three games on the bounce for the first time since October 2023, when they lost five matches on the bounce across all competitions.
