Man Ciy manager Guardiola in spat with Toure's agent

Manchester, Sep 21 (IANS) Yaya Toure's future at Manchester City seems to be uncertain at present with manager Pep Guardiola and his agent Dimitri Seluk feuding over the Ivory COast star's omission from the club's Champions League squad.

Toure is yet to feature in a competitive game since Guardiola arrived at Manchester City at the start of this season and the manager surprisingly left out the midfielder from the club's Champions League squad.

Guardiola's move has attracted criticism from Seluk who said the former Barcelona manager should apologise to his client if City does not win the Champions League this season.

In reply, Guardiola demanded an apology from Seluk, asserting that Toure will never play for the club again if he does not do so.

"It was so difficult for me to leave him (Toure) out of the Champions League squad. I know him, he is a good guy," Guardiola was quoted as saying by the Independent on Tuesday.

"But the day after he (Seluk) spoke to the media, he was out. Until he doesn't speak, he is not going to play. He must apologise. If he doesn't, he will not play," he added.

"He has not had the courage to call me. I cannot imagine in my period when I was a football player, my manager going to the media and speaking against Johan Cruyff, about this and about that. If he has a problem call the club, and they can talk. Until he speaks, Yaya is not going to play."

But instead of apologising in an attempt to salvage Toure's career, Seluk has continued his war of words with the former Bayern Munich manager.

"When Toure left the club to come to the City, Guardiola told him he was leaving to a s*** team," Seluk told Radio Barcelona.

"Now, Guardiola has come to this s*** team. Guardiola likes money more than football," he added.

"I will not apologise to Guardiola. That's 100 percent sure."
