Manchester United 5-2 Leicester City: Player Ratings as Red Devils secure first win in the post-Erik ten Hag Era

Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy led the team to an emphatic 5-2 victory over Leicester City in the League Cup fourth round to kick off the post-Erik ten Hag era in style. The Red Devils dominated the game and will be keen to build on their result.

Casemiro opened the scoring in the 15th minute before Alejandro Garnacho doubled United's advantage in the 28th. Bilal El Khannous scored in the 33rd minute to halve the deficit, but Bruno Fernandes restored the Red Devils' two-goal cushion with his first goal of the season in the 36th minute.

Casemiro bagged his brace three minutes later to make it 4-1. Conor Coady scored in the third minute of added time to make it 4-2 at half-time. Fernandes wrapped up the scoring in the 59th minute to secure a comfortable 5-2 win for Manchester United.
