Manchester United becomes the latest club to back Safe Standing campaign

Old Trafford

English Premier League champions Manchester United has become the latest club after Aston Villa, Sunderland and Cardiff City to support the Safe Standing campaign which will introduce safe standing areas for the fans in the home ground of the respective clubs.

The safe standing campaign was initiated by Football Supporters Federation (FSF). And the organization has already used various petitions, events and Early Day motions to highlight the need of safe standing areas.

The club’s new chief executive, Ed Woodward has expressed his desire to back the camping which will require major structural work in Old Trafford including changes to the stadium exits and passagewys leading to the current seating area.
