Manchester United to offer £15m plus Valencia for Baines

Manchester United manager David Moyes is set to launch a £15m plus Antonio Valencia bid for Everton star Leighton Baines in January.

Moyes was unsuccessful in his attempts to lure the left-back in the summer and has been looking for a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra. The Frenchman’s understudy Alex Buttner too has been overlooked time and again.

Baines recently stalled talks for a new deal with the Toffees. The addition of Valencia, who has been struggling to find form in recent months, in the deal could force Everton to finally budge.
